Repeat this process with the remaining ornaments, using slightly shorter pieces of twine for each subsequent ornament. This will create a staggered effect when the ornaments are hung from the dowel, adding visual interest and dimension to your display. Ensure that the knots are tight and secure to prevent the ornaments from detaching from the twine.

The length of the twine you use for each ornament will determine the overall shape and arrangement of your display. Experiment with different lengths to achieve your desired aesthetic. You can also vary the spacing between the ornaments to create a more or less dense display. Consider using a ruler or measuring tape to ensure that the twine lengths are consistent and evenly spaced. This will help to create a balanced and harmonious composition.

For my display, I arranged the ornaments so that a pink ornament is the longest in the middle, with the shortest ornaments on the outsides (3 pink ornaments total). Then, the red and two shades of green are placed between the pink ornaments, creating a balanced and harmonious color palette. Feel free to experiment with different color combinations and arrangements to create a display that perfectly reflects your personal style.

Then, attach the remaining ornaments, working your way outwards towards the sides. Tie the strings shorter and shorter as you spread to the sides, creating a cascading effect. Trim any excess string to create a clean and polished look. Ensure that the ornaments are evenly spaced and balanced to create a visually appealing display.

When attaching the ornaments to the dowel, consider using different types of knots to add visual interest and texture. You can also experiment with different spacing arrangements to create a more or less dense display. Use your creativity and imagination to create a unique and personalized ornament display that you’ll be proud to showcase.

This finishing touch will elevate your DIY ornament display from simple to stunning.
