2017 was a year filled with creativity and innovation, and here at Curbly, we had the pleasure of embarking on some truly exciting DIY adventures. From transforming spaces to crafting unique decor, it was a year of making and creating. We even took on the ambitious project of flipping a house! Beyond that major undertaking, we also focused on revamping the original Curbly home, showcasing young talent with a captivating art show featuring 2nd graders, gaining valuable insights at Alt Summit, and adding fresh coats of paint in every imaginable hue. But most importantly, the Curbly team dedicated themselves to developing a range of original and engaging DIY projects. Today, we’re excited to revisit the best DIY projects of the year – those that resonated most with you, our readers, and a few that we personally found exceptional. Let’s dive in!

Curbly HQ is fueled by the stuff, and with all those empty cans laying around, we thought we’d put them to good use as planters. We spent a lot of time outside this past summer, which is why this picnic blanket with a water-resistant backing makes our 13th spot on this Best DIY list.
